WST offers twin wire arc spray coating system WST-8830 which combines typical features of the modern arc spray technology. The offered system operates on Pull Type principle wherein the wire is pulled by the electric arc gun roller which is driven by a pneumatic air motor. The offered arc spray system is equivalent to Tafa Praxair’s 8830 type arc spray gun.

The offered arc spray system is suitable for any type of pure metallic wire, alloyed wire and cored wire of diameter 1.6mm to 2.3mm (Aluminium) and 2.5mm Zinc as per selected model. The most common application arc spray coating system is anti-corrosion coating.

WST-8830 SERIES TWIN WIRE ARC SPRAY COATING EQUIPMENT

The model WST-8830 arc spray Gun utilizes electrical D.C current to melt the metallic wire at suitable arc voltage required for the respective metal property and uses compressed air high velocity to finally atomize the molten metal particles into an extremely fine spray pattern on to substrate to be metalized. During arc spray metalizing process, an electric arc is generated & maintained consistently at the contact point of two metal wires.

Two versions of arc spray systems are offered viz AIR Type or Electric Type WST-8830-AR and WST-8830-EL respectively.

ID EXTENSION FOR INSIDE COATING Type : 8830-AExT

WST offers ID extensions for arc spray gun for inside coating where coating flame from standard gun cannot reach. The ID extension is offered is three length 1’, 2’ & 3’. Minimum ID of 100mm can be sprayed with the extension.

TWIN WIRE ARC SPRAY PROCESS

Twin wire arc spray process uses DC power to energize two conductive wires: one positive and the other negative. The two wires are electrically charged with opposing polarity and are fed into the arc gun at matched, controlled speeds. When we bring the wires together at the contact point, the opposing charges on the wires create enough heat to continuously melt the tips of the wires. We use compressed air to atomize the now molten material and accelerate it onto the workpiece surface to form the coating.
