WST offers special purpose tailor made robotic and CNC shot peening machines for Aerospace, Oil & gas, Gas turbine, Automotive, etc applications. These machines are designed specially as per each customer’s requirement. The machine can be manual type for semi-automatic type or fully automatic type. These machines are equivalent to other OEM’s machines like Clemco, Guyson, Wheelabrator, Rosler, Progressive, Vapormatt, etc companies.

Automatic machines are available in all three variants of the peening principles i.e suction, pressure and wet. These machines are designed to meet customer’s specific requirements and are offered after conducting R&D on the job or test trials on the job. WST automatic glass bead peening machine is designed to peen API threads of drilling components as per MIL-S-13165 standard. WST shot peening machines are designed for the generation of controlled compressive stress and to improve the galling resistance of the internal & external threads roots on the pipes at both ends.

SHOT PEENING is a cold working controlled process used to produce a compressive residual stress layer and modify the mechanical properties of variety of different metals. it entails impacting a surface by bombardment of shot (metallic balls, glass bead, SCCW or ceramic balls) with a force sufficient to create plastic deformation thus changes surface mechanical properties.
